Missions

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” -- Matthew 25:40, NIV

“To make disciples of Christ through the transformation of the world.” – Mission statement, United Methodist Church

“We make disciples as we send persons into the world to live lovingly and justly as servants of Christ by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, caring for the stranger, freeing the oppressed, being and becoming a compassionate, caring presence, and working to develop social structures that are consistent with the gospel.” – The Book of Discipline of United Methodist Church, Section 122

Pittman Park United Methodist Church seeks to be a missions-oriented community of faith.  The Missions Committee encourages anyone with an interest in missions,

whether a desire to become involved with existing projects or a conviction that we can serve in other areas, to contact co-chairs Nancy Malcom and Chris Caplinger through the church office.
