What an incredible week it has been at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair! I want to thank every person who showed up to serve; those who cooked and cleaned, greeted and guided, prepped and sold our famous chicken fingers and our newly added corn dogs!! Not only did you serve, but you smiled through some very long evenings. Your dedication, teamwork, and joyful spirit reflected the very heart of our church.

Because of your efforts, we didn’t just raise money, together we built relationships and community. We laughed together, welcomed new friends, and strengthened the bonds that make Pittman Park such a special place to our community. Through your work, we’ve made a difference that stretches far beyond the fairgrounds.

The funds raised this week will help touch lives in the Statesboro, at Georgia Southern, in the Dominican Republic, Uganda, and wherever UMCOR responds when disaster strikes. Your time and energy will become meals served, homes rebuilt, and hope restored, all of which are tangible signs of Christ’s love at work through us.

Thank you for showing up, pitching in, and living out our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Together, we’re proving that when the people of God serve with joy, great things happen.

God bless,

Jonathan Smith
