As we celebrate Christmas, my heart is full of gratitude for you and for the gift of Christ among us. In the birth of Jesus, we are reminded that God comes near, bringing light into our darkness, hope into our weariness, and love that renews and restores. Christmas invites us to slow down, to give thanks, and to receive once again the good news that God is with us.

As we look ahead to a new year, and prepare to celebrate 70 years of mission and ministry at Pittman Park, Stephanie and I pray that 2026 will be a season of grace, growth, and faithfulness for you and your family. May God guide your steps, strengthen your hearts, and surround you with peace in the days ahead.

I also want to remind you that we will gather for regular Sunday worship on December 28. We will offer 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship in the Fellowship Hall and 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary. Whether you are continuing Christmas celebrations or easing into the rhythms of a new year, we would love for you to worship with us.

Thank you for the joy of serving alongside you and for being such a vital part of this community of faith. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

God bless,

Jonathan Smith
