Dear Pittman Park Family,
Great things are happening at Pittman Park. Your Finance Committee wants to share some good news, along with one place where we need your help.
Our endowed funds are growing. The newly established Wood/Dozier Endowment Fund now stands at more than $280,000. Together with the newly established Doty Family Endowment, the Charles Black Scholarship Fund, and the Brady Building Fund, Pittman Park now holds almost $600,000 in endowed funds. These gifts will bless our church for generations to come. Thanks to your generosity, we also fully funded our matching Landscaping Grant.
That said, our operating budget for the year remains about $50,000 behind. Our operating costs have increased: a long, brutal summer drove up HVAC and utility expenses, our parsonages needed repairs, and our insurance premiums went up. Endowed funds are set aside for their designated purposes, so they cannot be used to close this gap.
This is where you come in. Please make sure you are keeping up with your pledge, and prayerfully consider an additional gift to the operating budget. Your faithful giving keeps our ministries strong, so that Pittman Park can continue to be a light in a dark world.
Thank you for all you do for our church.
Grace and peace,
Bob Mikell
