At Pittman Park, we believe church is more than just a place you go on Sunday mornings—it’s a community where you can grow, be known, and make a real difference in the world. That’s why, in our current sermon series, we’re highlighting the values that shape who we are and who we are becoming:
Personal Growth – Because maturity doesn’t happen by accident, we commit to growing daily in Christlikeness.
Abundant Grace – Because God loves and welcomes us, we love and welcome others.
Real Relationships – Because people matter to God, we develop genuine relationships to reflect God’s love.
Kindhearted Generosity – Because God is generous to us, we give our time, resources, and life for others.
These values aren’t just words we post on a wall. They are the building blocks that help us become the kind of disciples our community and the world needs: faithful encouragers, humble servants, compassionate leaders, and everyday visionaries.
And that’s not just for our benefit. It’s how we carry out our mission to “Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.” When we grow, when we extend grace, when we build real relationships, and when we give with kind hearts, we’re part of something so much bigger than ourselves—we’re part of God’s redemptive work in the world.
If you’re looking for ways to take your next step in discipleship, we have two opportunities for you this Sunday:
Catalyst Path Class at 10:00 AM in the Youth Room – This class is designed to equip you to grow emotionally and spiritually as a follower of Jesus.
Welcome Path Class at 12:00 PM – If you’re curious about becoming a member or want a deeper look into the heartbeat of Pittman Park, this is the perfect place to start.
Whether you’ve been part of Pittman Park for years or are brand new, there’s a place for you here to grow, belong, and be part of the transformation God is bringing to the world.
I’m so grateful to be on this journey with you. See you Sunday!
God bless,
Jonathan Smith
