The Pittman Park Leadership Academy is a focused season of Lay Servant Ministry Training designed to help you grow in faith, confidence, and service. We’ll gather on Sunday nights from 5–7 p.m. in the Parlor, building community while grounding ourselves in Scripture, Wesleyan tradition, and practical ministry skills. The first module, Basic Lay Ministry, begins Feb. 1. The second module, Advanced Lay Ministry begins March 1. REGISTER HERE

Module One: Basic Lay Ministry

February 1, 8, 15, 22

The Basic Course is the perfect starting point, using Cokesbury’s Lay Servant Ministries Basic Course, we’ll focus on:

  • Wesleyan tradition and foundations
  • Discovering and understanding spiritual gifts
  • Servant leadership
  • Care ministries
  • Communicating effectively
  • Sharing your faith with confidence and grace

Module Two: Advanced Lay Ministry

March 1, 8, 15, 22

The Advanced course builds on that foundation using Each One a Minister by William J. Carter and a deep dive into the book of Ephesians. Together, we’ll explore what it means to live into God’s call as the church, including:

  • Our identity as members of God’s family
  • Living out our spiritual inheritance
  • The mission of the church
  • Discovering and using spiritual gifts
  • Leadership posture and Christian living
  • Being equipped for faithful service
  • Preparing and delivering a brief message or talk
