Come, Worship, and Share the Light
Christmas Eve is one of the most sacred and meaningful nights of the year. It is a night when we slow down, gather close, and remember the incredible truth at the heart of our faith: God is with us.
At Pittman Park, we invite you to join us for one of our Christmas Eve worship services as we celebrate the birth of Christ and the light that shines into the darkness.
At 4:00 p.m., we will offer our Quiet Christmas Service, a simple, reflective service designed for those who are grieving, weary, or longing for a gentler space to encounter God’s peace. This service creates room for stillness, prayer, and hope, reminding us that Christ meets us exactly where we are.
At 7:00 p.m., we will gather for our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service, a beautiful and beloved tradition filled with scripture, music, a children’s moment, the lighting of the Advent wreath, and the passing of the light. As we lift our candles together, we proclaim once again that the light of Christ cannot be overcome.
This Christmas Eve, we will also receive our Advent Offering in support of Open Table, one of the most tangible ways Pittman Park lives out the love of Christ in our community. Through Open Table, we offer a place of belonging, a shared meal, and genuine hospitality to our neighbors and friends. What begins at the table extends far beyond it, building relationships, restoring dignity, and reflecting the welcome of Jesus.
Your generosity helps make this ministry possible. When you give to our Advent Offering, you are helping ensure that the table remains open, not just at Christmas, but throughout the year. You are investing in a ministry that feeds bodies, nourishes souls, and reminds people they are seen, valued, and loved.
As you make plans for Christmas Eve, I invite you to do two things: come and worship, and come ready to give. Bring your family. Invite a friend. And prayerfully consider how you might support Open Table as an expression of Christ’s love reaching our community and beyond.
We are grateful for you, and we look forward to celebrating the good news of great joy together.
God bless,
Jonathan
