Church Family,
I continue to be amazed by the way Pittman Park lives out its mission of Making Disciples of Jesus Christ and Transforming the World in Jesus’ Name. This past week, we were called upon by the Bulloch Emergency Management Authority and Bulloch VOAD, to open our doors as a warming shelter during the coldest days of the year. And, because of your generosity and servant hearts, we were able to provide warmth, comfort, and assistance to 28 individuals who needed a safe place to escape the cold.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ this week!
Serving the most vulnerable in our community is a vital part of the work God has called us to do. It’s more than just meeting physical needs—it’s showing the love of Christ in tangible ways. Whether you brought food, supplies, volunteered your time, or offered prayers for those in need, you played a crucial role in sharing God’s love. Thank you for your faithfulness and for being a church that truly cares.
As we prepare for worship this Sunday, we’ll need some help resetting our fellowship hall and cleaning our sheltering space. If you’re available, please join us this Friday morning at 9 a.m to reset our spaces. Many hands will make the work quick and enjoyable, and it’s a wonderful way to reconnect after such a meaningful week of service.
Thank you, Pittman Park family, for showing up when it matters most. Together, we are making disciples and transforming the world, one act of love and service at a time.
God bless,
Jonathan Smith
For Jesus. For People. For Community
It warms my heart to read things like this and know that the PPUMC that made such a different in my life during the 1970s-1990s is still doing powerful ministry in the Statesboro community. Thank you!
Thank you Kendra, it is good to know this church made a positive impact on your life while you were here!
