Dear Friends,

What a gift it was to gather with fellow United Methodists from across South Georgia for this year’s Annual Conference! Each year, this time of worship, learning, and holy conferencing reminds me that the Church is alive and moving forward—not just in our own congregation, but across the connection.

This year’s conference was marked by powerful worship, thoughtful conversation, and deep community. As Chair of the Worship Committee, I had the privilege of helping plan and lead the worship services throughout the week. It was incredibly moving to see the sanctuary filled with voices lifted in praise and hearts open to the Spirit.

I also want to celebrate and thank those from Pittman Park who participated in and have been nominated to support the work of our District and the Annual Conference. Our church was wonderfully represented:

  • Tim Wall and Alli Wall – Pittman Park Lay Leaders who served as our lay members to Annual Conference
  • Bob Mikell – District At-Large Delegate
  • Regina Days-Bryan – Conference Board of Trustees
  • Kathy Bradley – Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits
  • Jared Simonin – District Leadership Team
  • Kat Williams – Conference Congregational Development Committee
  • Albert Williams – Director, Georgia Southern Wesley Foundation
  • Catherine McCooey – Administrator, Georgia Southern Wesley Foundation
  • Connor Gardiner and Julia Jerald – Interns with Georgia Southern Wesley

And a very special thank you to the Georgia Southern Wesley team, who took the lead in managing social media and photography for the entire conference. Their creativity and care helped us capture and share the heart of the week with those near and far.

I’m so proud of the way Pittman Park continues to show up with leadership, service, and spirit. Thank you for being a church that is connected, committed, and Christ-centered.

With joy and gratitude,

Stephanie
