Making Space This Lent

Hello, Pittman Park family!

Can you believe we’re almost three weeks into Lent? Whether it’s been a smooth journey or a little bumpy, you’re here—and that’s what matters! This season, we’ve been leaning into what it means to make space for God, and this Sunday, we’re turning our hearts toward Simplicity.

Simplicity isn’t about giving up everything; it’s about letting go of some things so we can hold onto the best things. Maybe it’s clearing out the noise, decluttering a schedule, or finding five quiet minutes to breathe deeply and pray. Lent is an invitation to let God fill the spaces we so often cram full of everything else.

Speaking of making space for God, our Wesley Foundation Missions Team has been doing just that in the Dominican Republic this week! They’ve been serving, loving, building relationships, and showing the love of Christ in tangible ways. They’ll be flying home this Friday, full of stories, gratitude, and probably a little exhaustion! Be sure to welcome them back with high-fives, hugs, and a lot of grace if they look like they need a nap!

As we continue through Lent, I hope you’ll join us in this week’s practice of Simplicity—whether that’s turning down the noise, turning off the screens, or turning up your listening ear for God’s still, small voice. There’s beauty and peace in the quiet when we make space for Him.

See you Sunday!

God Bless You,
Stephanie
