Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 5, as Pittman Park hosts a Rummage Sale in the Fellowship Hall. This community event is not just an opportunity to find great deals — it’s a chance to make a real difference. All proceeds will directly support Pittman Park Missions and the Altrusa Literacy Programs, bringing hope and resources to those who need them most.

Every donated item and every purchase helps fund vital ministries, from providing books for children to supporting local outreach efforts. It’s a simple yet impactful way to serve our neighbors together.
We often think of spring as a time of renewal — a chance to clear out what we no longer need and make space for something new. By donating your gently used items, you’re not only making room in your home, but also creating opportunities for others. That kitchen gadget you haven’t used in years? It could become a staple in someone else’s home. The books your children have outgrown? They might spark a love of reading for another young reader. And every dollar spent at the sale will go towards supporting missions that make a lasting difference.

How You Can Get Involved:
1    Spread the Word. Share the news with friends, family, and neighbors. A quick social media post or conversation can go a long way in making this event a success. The more, the merrier!
2    Donate Gently Used Items. Starting at noon on March 30, we will gratefully accept your clean, gently used items for the sale. Furniture, books, electronics, household goods, toys, and more are all welcome! Your items will find new homes while supporting a great cause.
3    Bring Boxes. Medium-sized boxes are incredibly helpful for shoppers, so any extras you can provide would be appreciated. It’s a small way to lend a big helping hand.
4    Volunteer Your Time. There’s something special about working alongside others for a good cause. Help is needed throughout the week of the sale (9 a.m. to 7 p.m.) for setup, organizing, and pricing items. Of course, we’ll also need cheerful faces on the day of the sale to greet shoppers, assist with purchases, and keep things running smoothly. As a thank you, volunteers will receive access to an exclusive preview sale on Friday evening — a perfect chance to snag something special before the crowd arrives!

Not able to volunteer or donate? You can still participate by coming out to shop. Every purchase supports missions that provide essentials for families, expand educational opportunities, and bring hope to those in need.

Together, we can transform a simple rummage sale into something much greater — a celebration of generosity, service, and community. Let’s make it a day to remember!

For more information or to sign up, please contact the church office. We can’t wait to see you there!

With gratitude,
