What an incredible journey it has been walking through our We Are Pittman Park series together! Over these past weeks, we’ve explored what it means to live out the values found right in our name: Personal Growth, Abundant Grace, Real Relationships, and Kindhearted Generosity.
Now, I’ll be honest—when Jonathan and I were developing this series back in December, we never dreamed we would become the very testimony of how you have lived out each of these values. But here we are! You’ve walked alongside us in some of our hardest days, poured out grace when we needed it most, built authentic relationships that carried us through, and displayed a kindhearted generosity that’s left us speechless more than once.
If you’ll allow me a moment of personal privilege—I just want to say, from the very depths of my heart, thank you. Your prayers have sustained us. Your meals, texts, cards, and quiet moments of support have been a lifeline. You’ve reminded our family what it means to belong to a community that truly loves like Jesus. We will never forget the ways you have shown up for us. You didn’t just tell us about grace and generosity—you became the living, breathing example of it.
As we close this series, let’s lean in one more time to the heart of Kindhearted Generosity. This isn’t just about what we give—it’s about the spirit with which we give. It’s about seeing a need and stepping in with love, knowing that every act of generosity is a seed planted for God’s Kingdom work.
On Sunday, we have a real and tangible opportunity to live this out. Our Fellowship Hall plays a vital role in the life of our church—it’s the heartbeat of our weekly Wednesday Open Table Meals and the home for our Sunday Contemporary Worship. But it’s more than that. It’s also a meeting place for community groups, a celebration hall for weddings and family milestones, a shelter in times of storm, and even a worship space for college students seeking a home away from home. It’s where showers have been offered to those in need, meals shared with the hungry, and—let’s be honest—a whole lot of really fun events have filled our lives with laughter and joy!
Now, this beloved space needs us. The AC system that keeps our Fellowship Hall comfortable and welcoming is being replaced at a cost of $200,000. On Sunday, we’ll take up a special offering to ensure that this building continues to serve not only us but our entire community for years to come.
Let’s keep this space doing what it’s always done best—opening doors, offering hospitality, and making room for the life-changing love of Christ to be experienced.
So, as we bring this series to a close, I’ll ask you one last time: Who are we?
We are Pittman Park! And this is what we do.
With deep gratitude and love,
Stephanie
