As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, our hearts turn once again toward gratitude. Not just the kind that comes from a table full of food or a house full of family, but the deeper, sustaining gratitude that comes from knowing the steadfast love and faithfulness of God.

This month, we’re beginning a new sermon series called “Songs of Thanksgiving.” In the Psalms and the prophets, God’s people have always lifted their voices in praise, sometimes through joy, sometimes through tears, but always with trust. These ancient songs remind us that thanksgiving is not reserved for easy days; it’s a way of living anchored in God’s faithfulness.

Psalm 145 proclaims, “The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.” Even when the world feels uncertain, when fear whispers that we are alone, this truth remains: God is near, God is good, and God’s promises never fail. Isaiah’s words echo that same hope: “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.”

In this series, we’ll give thanks for who God is, righteous and faithful, and we’ll learn how to live each day without fear, trusting in the God who has carried us this far and will continue to lead us forward.

May these coming weeks fill our hearts with songs of thanksgiving that remind us:

  • God has been faithful.
  • God is faithful.
  • God will be faithful forever.

Let’s lift our voices together in gratitude and praise!

God bless,
