Some have said Prime Adult Ministry luncheons are Pittman Park’s “adult youth group.” We enjoy nourishing community and hear from a guest speaker each month from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a catered meal for $10.
Our next luncheon is Jan. 27. The event will focus on Christian Creation Care with special guest Beth Remmes.
- Learn the theological importance of environmental stewardship.
- Consider the role of faith communities in addressing the climate crisis.
- Explore the biblical values of rest, justice, and faith in action.
Beth Remmes works with Pittman Park’s Green Team as the Coastal Outreach and Resiliency Coordinator for Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL). She is also a Facilitator of the Work that Reconnects and Gaia Education’s “Design for Sustainability and Regeneration” online learning course. Beth works with GIPL’s network of congregations in Southeast Georgia supporting their efforts to engage in faithful environmental action, environmental justice, and community resilience.
