Dear Pittman Park Family,
This week, our hearts are heavy with sorrow. We share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our precious Pittman Park Education Center (PPEC) children. Our entire PPEC family is grieving alongside this child’s loved ones during this devastating time.
In moments like these, when grief feels overwhelming and words seem inadequate, we may wonder—where can we turn? The weight of loss can make the world feel unsteady, but Scripture reminds us of an unshakable truth: we are never alone.
Psalm 121 offers us a powerful promise in times of distress:
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2, NIV)
Even in our deepest sorrow, we have a refuge in our God. He is our steady foundation, our ever-present help in times of trouble. As a faith-filled community, we are committed to surrounding this grieving family with love, support, and the unwavering grace of God. We ask you to join us in lifting them up in prayer, offering them comfort, strength, and peace in the midst of unimaginable loss.
Please know that we are working closely with all necessary agencies to navigate this situation with care, compassion, and sensitivity. Our priority remains the well-being of our children, families, and staff as we walk through this difficult time together.
As we mourn, let us also lean on one another. May we find strength in the unity of our church family and peace in the love of Jesus. He is our refuge, our healer, and the one who carries us through the darkest valleys.
May we continue to hold one another close, resting in the promise that the Lord watches over us now and forevermore.
God bless,
Jonathan Smith
