Amazing Grace was started at Pittman Park eight years ago, in 2015. We are beginning our ninth year of working to help the homeless and the struggling in our community. When the mission began, we made and distributed, on average, 20 bags per month.
Now, there is good news and bad news. I will start with the bad news. The need for Amazing Grace bags is growing. We now assemble about 50 bags per month.
The good news is that, thanks to our compassionate and generous congregation, we have been able to meet those needs so far. We have had more organizations ask to receive bags to distribute, finding there are a growing number of people in need.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our congregation. The support of Amazing Grace, and all the missions our church supports, has been phenomenal. The people of Pittman Park care, they feel compassion and empathy, and work to help people better their lives. Please continue to pray, support and donate to the missions we support. We are truly a blessed church, with our hearts set on doing God’s work. Bless you all.
