Holy Week is Upon Us!
This Sunday, we begin our journey from the palms to the cross as we remember Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday and concludes with Easter Sunday. These are two Sundays filled celebration! This Sunday, we will wave palms and our children will process and sing a special song in order for us to remember Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. Next Sunday, we will celebrate resurrection together.
But, in between these two moments, is Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, crucifixion, and death. We are only able to celebrate at Easter because Jesus died for us. It’s easy to speed from celebration to celebration, but Holy Week invites us to stop and remember the depth of God’s sacrificial love. Love so deep it would take on our sin and shame and die for our redemption and salvation.
I pray that you will take time this week to reflect on what God has done for us. Don’t rush; instead, remember and marvel at God’s love.
Below are opportunities for us to gather together to worship and reflect together as we journey towards Easter.
