Merry Christmas! (I’ve loved saying that all this week!!)

Christmas Camp has been in full swing here at Pittman Park! We have had the sights and sounds of Christmas filling our hallways as children from our church and across our community have joined us for camp. Children have enjoyed playing games, making crafts, exploring the science station, eating snacks, singing worship songs, creating music, and learning amazing Bible Stories. The theme of Christmas led the way through all of the fun and connected classic Christmas movies with the incredible love of Christ. Throughout the week, we memorized Ephesians 3:18, which challenges us to remember, “How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”

The love of Christ was felt through the sweet hugs from the campers, seen through the happy smiles and the interaction at each event. The love of Christ was brought to Christmas Camp through the sacrificial giving of Elves (Group Leaders), North Pole (Leader Hospitality), Check-In/Out, Security, Welcome Team, Skit Characters, Music Leaders, Tech Team, Snack Team, Decorating Team, Clean Up Crew, and Station Leaders for Science, Games, Workshop, and Bible. It takes so many people to pull off a week of serving the kids in our community through the Park Kids Camp. All of you show the love of Christ, and we are very thankful for you!

I cannot end my Christmas Camp wrap-up celebration without saying what an AMAZING job our Children’s Minister, Megan Hopkins, did in creating, planning, organizing, and implementing this fantastic community event. Please join me in saying, “THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!”

God bless,
Jonathan Smith
