Happy New Year!

In a few short days we will say goodbye to 2022 and welcome in 2023! Every new year is an opportunity for a new start, for a new beginning. We get a chance to consider what we’ve done and who we’ve been for the past 12 months and make plans to grow in the next year.

That’s why I am excited for worship this Sunday!

On January 1 we will be gathering for our first worship services of the year, and we will be committing together, to grow in our love of God and neighbor through the Wesley Covenant Renewal Service. This service gives us a chance to consider our commitment to Christ, to the church, and to the world, and to take steps to make our commitment a reality in our lives.

Not only is this a chance for us to make a personal commitment, but it’s also a time for us to commit as a community to becoming a church that is firmly planted in our work of Making Disciples and Transforming The World! I believe that our communal commitment matters, because our faith is not practiced in isolation, but together with other believers.

This new year is a chance to start again, to recommit, and I hope you’ll join us!

God bless,

Jonathan
