Summer is drawing to a close! In just two weeks our children will return to school, students will return to their apartments, and we will all be adjusting to new schedules, and developing new rhythms of life.

As we head toward this time of transition, I would like to invite you to think critically about the rhythms you are developing in your own life and in your family’s schedule. Beyond getting everyone to school and work, where are you intentionally building in moments to grow together? Where are you building in moments for your own spiritual growth and the formation of those around you? Where are you creating moments for rest and re-creation during your week? Our lives are dominated by rhythms and it’s critical, at this moment, that we consider the rhythms we have established and are establishing.

Our rhythms here at Pittman Park are changing too. Starting on August 10 we will resume our Wednesday night activities and add new opportunities for community, discipleship, and service. This year our theme for Wednesday nights is “Better Together,” because life is better together! So, join us for Communion, Open Table—our free Wednesday night supper, discipleship for all ages, and childcare from 6:00-8:00pm. It’s never been easier to develop a new rhythm, to find your place to connect and grow at Pittman Park!
