Summer is in full swing here at Pittman Park! I want to share with you some great ways for you to plug in and enjoy the community here at Pittman Park during July!

Last night we celebrated a special Mid-Summer Open Table. We had 90+ people come out for spaghetti, salad, and ice cream sandwiches. This was a great reminder of how God is growing us together and the joy that we share as a community of faith where the presence of God is felt both in worship and in our fellowship. I can’t wait for Open Table to begin again on August 10!

Saturday, July 9 at 9 a.m., our Park Students are going on a Kayak Trip to George L. Smith state park. If you’re a youth, you don’t want to miss out on this amazing adventure and fun. Last year’s trip was a blast! Also, the last Wednesday Pool Party for Park Students is coming up July 13.

Sunday, July 10 at 5pm, we are doing an old-fashioned Watermelon Cutting here at the church. So, bring your appetite and a lawn chair and join us as we celebrate one of the great traditions of Statesboro and Georgia Southern. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend to meet our church.

Also, mark your calendars for July 20 as we gather for Homemade Ice Cream! We are asking you to make your favorite homemade ice cream to share for a cool treat to beat the summer heat. Our special panel of youth will be judging who has the best recipe and more!

Pittman Park is not a church that only gathers for worship on Sundays. We are a church that is awake and alive. We are a community that is on a journey, together, to see God’s Kingdom come in Statesboro. We are a family that is growing and inviting others in. We are a place where people can find hope in Christ, have fun together, and grow as disciples who transform the world. Don’t miss out on all the opportunities we have to gather, grow, and go in Jesus name.

God bless and see you soon!
