Advent begins this Sunday at Pittman Park! I hope that you’ll join us for this season of anticipation and preparation for Jesus’ birth and second coming. Throughout Advent, we will have opportunities to celebrate and grow together as we welcome Christ into our lives and into the world at Christmas.
This Sunday, we begin a new sermon series called, “A Weary World Rejoices,” and we will be welcoming our friend Anne Bosarge to preach. Anne is the South Georgia Annual Conference Director of Leadership Strategies and Local Church Resources, and we have partnered with Anne, and her ministry The Chapel Online, to provide Christmas for the children at Victory Outreach in Uganda. During Anne’s visit she will update us on how God is moving in Uganda, the house we built for Frank and his family last Advent, and how we can be a part of making a difference for God’s Kingdom there.
But, Sunday is only the beginning! You won’t want to miss all that we have planned this month. There’s a place for everyone to find joy and hope here at Pittman Park. Here’s a schedule of events happening that you are invited to experience and enjoy in your Advent preparation:
