It’s Fair Week!

One of the great traditions of Pittman Park is our Missions Fair Booth. All week long we have been cooking hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, and fries to help support our missions projects at Pittman Park. I love that Pittman Park is intentional about raising and setting aside funds for missions and I can’t wait to see how God will use us for God’s kingdom work in the coming year.

Aside from the cause that our Fair Booth supports, our Fair Booth is a great place to connect with other church members, to see our youth serving, and have a great time. I have enjoyed working at the window taking orders this week, frying chicken and fries, and running food from our outdoor kitchen to the prep station. I’ve also enjoyed seeing our volunteers talk, laugh, and offer words of encouragement to each other. Our conversations and work together at the fair are a terrific example of Christian community. I hope that the hours spent together draw us nearer to each other and nearer to Christ and allow us to be a more healthy and vibrant church.

To all who have volunteered, supported, and visited our Missions Fair Booth, thank you for enabling missions and giving us the opportunity to experience Christian community.

One last thing…there’s still time to come out and serve! Join us on Friday or Saturday for more food, fun, and fellowship at the fair! And if you just can’t get enough fun at the fair, join us next Wednesday, October 26 for our Treat Trail!

God bless,
